As per the announcement made by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on March 14, 2024, recruitment for Grade A officers (Assistant Managers) positions will be conducted. According to the announcement, SEBI will hire skilled candidates for positions in various streams such as General, Legal, Information Technology, Engineering, Research, Official Language, etc. The online recruitment process will commence from April 13, 2024. Which Positions Are Available for Employment?
1. General Assistant Manager:
In the case of General Assistant Managers, there are a total of 62 vacant positions.
Educational Qualifications
Any Post Graduate degree / Post Graduate diploma in any stream.
Or, Bachelor’s degree in Law.
Or, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Or, Chartered Accountant (CA) / (CS).
Or, any other equivalent degree.
2. Legal Assistant Manager:
In the Legal Assistant Manager category, there are a total of 5 vacant positions.
Educational Qualifications
Accepted university from which a Bachelor’s degree in law has been obtained and other desired experience.
3. Information Technology:
In this field, 24 vacancies have been kept vacant.
Educational Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any branch) or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Application / IT with post-graduation (minimum 2 years) in any stream is required.
4. Electrical Engineering:
There are 2 vacant positions for Electrical Engineering.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and any other relevant experience.
5. Research Assistant Manager:
There are 2 vacancies for the position of Research Assistant Manager.
Educational Qualifications
A postgraduate degree in Economics, Commerce, or Administration is required.

6. Official language Assistant Manager:
There are 2 vacancies for the Assistant Manager position as per the official announcement.
Educational Qualifications
As a graduate-level qualification, a postgraduate degree with English along with Hindi is required. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with Hindi along with Sanskrit/English/Economics/Commerce at the graduate level is accepted. Additionally, a postgraduate degree from any recognized university in both English and Hindi fields is also eligible.
Age Limit
Candidates must be below 30 years of age as of March 31, 2024, to be eligible for the Assistant Manager position. Those born before April 1, 1994, are not eligible. However, there is an age relaxation for reserved categories as per government rules.
Salary and Allowance
Grade A Officers have a pay scale starting from Rs. 44,500. Additionally, they are entitled to various allowances and benefits such as National Pension Scheme, G.A, D.A, S.A, totaling Rs. 1,49,500 (excluding accommodation) and Rs. 1,11,000 (with accommodation). Furthermore, there are other opportunities and facilities available including medical benefits.
Posting Areas
Posting will be available in any department at any location where SEBI offices are located in India.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected in three phases. Firstly, in Phase 1, there will be an online examination with two papers. Those who pass Phase 1 will be eligible for Phase 2. Phase 2 will also consist of two papers. Candidates who pass Phase 2 will be called for an interview.
Application Fees
For Unreserved, OBC, EWS categories, candidates will have to pay a total of 1000 rupees (Application fees + Intimation fees) plus 18% GST.
For SC/ST/PwBD candidates, an intimation charge of 100 rupees plus 18% GST will be applicable.
Application Timings
The application will commence from April 13, 2024.
