CSIR-UGC NET/JRF Exam 2024: According to the new notification of National Testing Agency, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) UGC NET/JRF exam is going to be held in June 2024. The application process for this exam has already started. Eligible candidates who have not yet completed their application should apply by 21 May 2024. The application process has been started on the website of NTA https://csirnet.nta.ac.in through direct online mode.

CSIR-UGC NET/JRF Exam 2024: Category wise Selection
Category 1: JRF, Assistant Professor and PhD admission – opportunities can come in all these three.
Category 2: Assistant Professor and PhD can get admission.
Category 3: Only PhD can get admission.
CSIR-UGC NET/JRF Exam 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Following are the eligibility criteria required to get a job in these vacancies:
Education Qualification
Educational Qualification of Candidates for CSIR UGC NET JRF Exam:
- For General/OBC: Master’s Degree/ Equivalent Examination with 55% marks.
- For SC/ST/PH/Others: Master’s Degree/Equivalent Examination with 50% marks.
Besides Integrated Course/BE/B.Tech/B.Pharma/MBBS candidates are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit
Maximum age to apply for the exam is 30 years (for JRFs only). Exemption will be given at the age of 5 years for reserved persons.
There is no age limit for Assistant Professor/Lectureship, PhD Admission.

CSIR-UGC NET Exam Syllabus with Subject Code:
- Chemical Science (SC-701)
- Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, Planetary sciences (SC-702)
- Life Sciences (SC-703)
- Mathematical Sciences (SC-704)
- Physical sciences (SC-705)
CSIR UGC NET Exam Pattern:
- The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held on 25, 26, 27 June 2024.
- MCQ type questions. Time 3 hr, read the notification to know the full marks of each exam.
CSIR-UGC NET/JRF Exam 2024: Steps to Apply
- Before applying for CSIR UGC NET/JRF exam, please read the notification in detail.
- To apply visit the website https://csirnet.nta.ac.in or www.nta.ac.in.
- Candidates have to register first while applying. Register with name, mobile number, email id to register.
- In the main application form, the candidate has to provide all the information such as personal information, educational qualification, Aadhaar card etc.
- Then come to the upload section and upload new colour photo (10 kb- 200 kb), signature (4 kb-30 kb), category certificate (within 300 kb).
- Then comes the payment section, category wise application fee has to be submitted.
- Finally, all the information should be checked a second time and submitted and a copy should be printed out as proof of application.
