Central Government Staff Selection Commission is going to fill the vacancies of Higher Secondary Level SSC CHSL (10+ 2) Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant, Data Entry Operator etc. This job exam is one of the most important central government jobs. This year there are 3712 vacancies in various posts so aspirants who are preparing for CHSL register themselves fast.

As per notification of Staff Selection Commission, recruitment to Group C posts will be done through online competitive examination in various Ministries/Departments or Offices and Constitutional Institutions or Tribunal Areas of Government of India.

Vacancy Details of SSC CHSL (10+2)

Eligibility Criteria for SSC CHSL (10+2).

Eligibility criteria required to get jobs in these vacancies are as follows:

Educational Qualification (as per post)

• Data Entry Operator/ DEO Grade A in the ministry of consumer affairs, culture, food and public distribution: 12 passes in Science with Mathematics as a subject
• LDC/JSA and DEO/ DEO Grade A (except DEO in previous ministry (See no. 1 point):  12 standard or equivalent degree pass.

Age Limit (as on 01.08.2024)

• Candidates whose age is between 18 to 27 years are eligible to apply for this post.(Candidate age should be between 02.08.1997 to 01.08.2006.)
• As per Govt rules there is relaxation of 5 years for SC, ST and 3 years for OBC, Ex Serviceman. 10 to 15 years exemption for PwBDs. Read the notification for more age relaxation for various categories of candidates.

Pay Scale of SSC CHSL (10+2)

The pay scale is different according to the post.

• Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay level 2 (RS 19900 – 63200)
• Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay level 4 (Rs – 25500 – 81100); Pay level 5 (Rs – 29200 – 92300)
• Data Entry Operator Grade A: Pay level 4 (Rs- 25500 – 81100)

Selection Process for SSC CHSL (10+2)

• Candidates have to give Tier 1 and Tier 2 two exams through computer based system.
• Tier 1 exam will be held in the month of June / July. There will be Objective type/MCQ type questions.
• Candidates who clear the Tier 1 exam will have to take the Tier 2 exam. Along with skill test, computer typing.
• Commission will publish the final merit list based on that number after passing Tier 2. The probable date of Tier 2 examination will be informed later.

What is the application fee for SSC CHSL (10+2)?

• Application fee for all candidates is Rs.100. (No application fee required for reservation of Woman, SC, ST, PwBD, Ex Serviceman)
• BHIM UPI, Net banking, Debit card, Credit card etc. can be used to deposit money online.
• Last date for online fee submission is 08.05.2024

Exam Syllabus of SSC CHSL (10+2)

Tier 1 Exam No. of Questions 100, (carrying 2 marks each) Time – 1 hour. 0.5 marks will be deducted for wrong answers.

Tier 1 Exam Subject :

• English: 25 questions
• General intelligence: 25 questions
• Basic Arithmetic: 25 questions
• General Awareness: 25 questions

Tier 2 Exam Subject:

Session I (Total Time 2 Hours 15 Minutes)

Section 1 (Time 1 Hour)

• Module I: Mathematics, 30 questions (3 marks each)
• Module II: Reasoning or GI, 30 Questions (3 Nos. each)

Section 2 (Time 1 Hour)

• Module I: English Language, 40 Questions (3 Nos. each)
• Module II: General awareness, 20 questions (3 nos each)

Section 3 (Time 15 minutes)

• Module I: Computer Knowledge, 15 Questions (3 Nos. each)

Session II

• Section III
• Module II: Skill Test / Typing Test
  • (Part A: skill Test for DEO in department and ministry) Time 15 minutes

Other Informations

• The Tier 2 exam will be held in two sessions in one day.
• Candidates have to qualify each section of Tier 2 exam.
• 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• Computer knowledge test is mandatory but only after qualifying.
• Read the ssc notification to know the speed of Skill Test / Typing Test etc.

How to Apply for SSC CHSL (10+2)?

Every candidate must read the ssc notification carefully to apply for SSC CHSL post. Request to the candidates to complete their application quickly otherwise there may be various problems with the website in the last few days.

• To apply online first visit SSC official website ssc.gov.in.
• Then click on SSC CHSL application and create your One Time Resister ID and password with your name, mobile number, email id.
• After registration, login with registration id and password and fill your application form. First enter and upload your name, identity card, educational qualification etc.
• Then upload a clean new photo and signature (10 kb – 20 kb) of yourself at the appropriate place.
• Then go to payment section and submit the application fee. Last date for online application submission is 07.05.2024. Last date for fee submission is 08.05.2024.
• Finally check all your information well and submit and download your application form.
