Following are the eligibility criteria required to get a job in these vacancies:
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree must be passed to apply for the post of Assistant Commandant of CAPF.
Age Limit
Candidates age should be between 20 years to 25 years. (As on August 1, 2024)

Salary Details in UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2024
The UPSC notification has not yet informed what salary will be paid for various posts. However, according to the different posts, the candidates will be paid in different pay scales.
Exam Syllabus & Pattern in UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2024
In the case of candidate selection, the examination will be conducted in three phases.
First there will be written exam. After passing physical efficiency test/ physical standard test, physical medical test, then interview will be taken. The final merit list will be published based on the marks of written exam and interview.
Written exam:
To be held on 04 August 2024. 2 papers in written test.
Paper 1: 10 AM – 12 PM
Paper 2: 2 PM – 5 PM
Paper 1 subject: General Ability & Intelligence (250 marks).
Paper 2 subject: General Studies, Essay and compression (200 marks).
PET (Physical Efficiency Test)
Men:
- 100 meter run in 16 seconds.
- 800 meter run (3.45 minutes)
- Long jump 3.5 metre (3 chances)
- Shot put (7.26kg) 4.5 metre.
Women:
- 100 meter run in 18 seconds
- 800 meter run (4.45 minutes)
- Long jump 3 metre (3 chances)
PST (Physical Standard Test)
Men:
- Height 165 cm
- Weight 50 kg
- Chest 81cm +5 cm
Women:
- Height 157 cm
- Weight 46 kg
Physical Medical test
Candidates are tested for physical fitness.
Interview / Personality Test
If successful in various tests will be called for interview. Interview number is 150.
The final merit list will be published based on the marks of written test and interview.
Steps to Apply for UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2024
- First read UPSC notification in detail to apply.
- To apply, apply online at www.upsc.nic.in.
- First One Time Resistration (OTR) has to be done with mobile number and email id. (OTR can be done only once)
- Then save your name, personal information, photo ID card, educational qualification etc. in the application form.
- Then upload your new color photo and signature (20 kb- 300 kb). Scan the photo ID card.
- Then go to payment section and deposit the application fee. After payment, check your application carefully and submit it.
