Jobs are available for the position of Clerk in the Co-operative Banks of the state.
How Many Vacancies Will Be Filled
As per the commission, there are a total of 50 vacant positions available:
- General: 15 positions
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 10 positions
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 5 positions
- Other Backward Class Category A (OBC-A): 5 positions
- Other Backward Class Category B (OBC-B): 5 positions
The monthly salary for these positions is Rs 38,513.
Eligibility Criteria for WB Co-operative Bank Recruitment
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university accredited by UGC, with a minimum of 50% marks in Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
Alternatively, candidates with a B-Tech or M-Tech degree from an institution under the All-India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) are eligible to apply.
Other Qualifications
In addition, applicants must have a diploma in Computer Application or Information Technology (minimum 6 months) for all candidates. All applicants must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking in Bengali language. (Not applicable for Nepali speakers)
Age Limit
For UR (Unreserved) candidates, the age limit is from 18 to 40 years as of January 1, 2024.
For SC, ST, OBC-A, and OBC-B candidates, the age limit is from 18 to 45 years as of January 1, 2024.

Last Date for Application: April 10, 2024, till 11:59 PM.
How to Apply for WB Co-operative Bank Recruitment
- Applicants must first go to the commission’s website (www.webcsc.org) to apply. There, they need to provide their name, identification, educational qualifications, technical knowledge, and computer skills information correctly.
- Applicants must upload a passport-sized photo (within 50 kb), signature (within 50 kb), left thumb impression (within 50 kb), certificate of Secondary or equivalent examination (within 2 mb), caste certificate (within 2 mb) for reserved candidates, and Domicile Certificate (Aadhar card / Voter card / Ration card), among other information.
- Afterwards, applicants need to pay the below-mentioned fee and then recheck their application before submitting it.
- A registration number will be generated for your application, and you will receive an email. You will also receive a Transaction ID after payment.
- Finally, download or print your application.
Examination Fee & Processing Fee
For General (UR) candidates, the examination fee is Rs 400, processing fee is Rs 250, totaling Rs 650.
For OBC-A / OBC-B candidates, the examination fee is Rs 400, processing fee is Rs 250, totaling Rs 650.
For SC / ST candidates, only the processing fee is applicable, which is Rs 250.
Selection process of candidates
The online examination (CBT) will be of 150 marks (MCQ type) with a duration of 2 hours. There will be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
The subjects for the examination are:
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Reasoning
- General Awareness
- English
- Bengali
There will be a separate examination on computer knowledge (50 marks) which must be qualified.
Candidates will be called for an interview based on the marks obtained in the CBT. The interview will carry 15 marks.
The final selection will be based on the combined marks of CBT and interview.
